Our company and brands draw upon our rich ‘Rum Triad’ – rooted in Jamaica’s rum making traditions; showcasing the culture and flavours of East Africa; blended with Scotland’s proud distilling heritage. We have substantial ties to Uganda, and our team shares a common desire to support the livelihoods of sugar cane growers in East Africa. With this at the forefront of our thought process, we are developing a sugar cane plantation on our family land in Matugga that will employ and train local agricultural workers. By harvesting cane from our land and converting it into high quality distilling molasses we will also become a “Cane to Cask” rum producer.

Matugga White

Matugga White: Fruity Funk Edition has creamy complexity – fruity and funky tropical notes give way to redberries with a grapefruit backbone.

At 40% ABV with no sugar added, it’s full of character that adds depth to every drink. Sip neat, or mix into your favourite rum cocktail.

Our go-to Matugga Daiquiri recipe: 50ml Matugga White, 25ml sugar syrup and 25ml lime juice – shake well and serve. For an extra smooth finish, add a touch of egg white or aquafaba.

Matugga Golden

A gourmet pure single rum matured in individually chosen ex-Bourbon casks.

Matugga Golden balances tropical fruit flavours with wood spice notes and a whisper of smoke.

Enjoy neat, on the rocks or as the based for an exceptional cocktail.

Matugga Spiced

ABV - 42% | Size - 70cl

An elegant spiced rum infused with a tantalising age-old Masala Chai blend.

Matugga Spiced is enriched with black tea, fresh ginger, fragrant natural spices and a touch of Scottish honey.

Enjoy neat, on ice or mix with ginger ale and a slice of lime.
